Proclus (412–485 CE) was a philosopher and commentator on Plato's works. He was one of the most important figures of the Neoplatonic school of philosophy, and his writings had a significant influence on later philosophers, such as Plotinus and Augustine of Hippo. Proclus' commentary on Plato's Timaeus is considered to be one of the most important works of Neoplatonic philosophy.
