Answer
The DINA, or Dirección de Inteligencia Nacional, was the secret police force of Chile under Augusto Pinochet's dictatorship from 1973 to 1990. The DINA was responsible for widespread human rights abuses, including torture, disappearances, and political assassinations. Some of the most notorious DINA operations include the Letelier assassination in Washington, D.C., in 1976, and the Caravan of Death, which resulted in the deaths of over 100 political prisoners in 1973.
