Scott Weiland, an American rock singer and songwriter, died on December 3, 2015 in Bloomington, Minnesota. He was 48 years old. Weiland was the lead singer of the rock bands Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver. He had a history of drug abuse and had been in and out of rehab several times. Weiland's death was ruled an accidental overdose of cocaine and alcohol.
