Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (595–661) was an Arab Muslim military general. He was a companion of the Islamic prophet Muhammad and served as one of the four generals under Khalid ibn al-Walid during the Ridda Wars. He also led the Muslim conquest of Persia, and was appointed governor of the province after its fall.
