Don Mattingly returned to the New York Yankees as a coach in 2004, after a successful career as a player. Mattingly played for the Yankees from 1982 to 1995, and was a seven-time All-Star. He was also the American League Most Valuable Player in 1985. After his playing career, Mattingly served as the manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers from 2001 to 2008.
