Tadeusz Mazowiecki was the Prime Minister of Poland from 1989 to 1991. He was a member of the Solidarity trade union movement, and was instrumental in the negotiation of the Round Table Agreement, which led to the end of communist rule in Poland. He was the first non-communist Prime Minister of Poland since the end of World War II.
