Answer
Edward Seymour offered a religious compromise between Protestant and Roman Catholic teachings. The compromise would have allowed for some elements of the Roman Catholic Church to be retained, while also allowing for some Protestant reforms. This compromise was rejected by both the Protestants and the Roman Catholics, and as a result, the English Reformation continued.
