The Silhouettes was Ritchie Valens' first band, formed in 1957. The band's original lineup included Valens on guitar and vocals, Bob Morales on drums, and Dave Bigham on bass. The Silhouettes played a mix of rock and roll, rhythm and blues, and Mexican folk music. They released their first single, "Come On, Let's Go," in 1958. The song was a regional hit and helped to launch Valens' career.
