Roy Carroll represented Northern Ireland at full international level a total of 45 times. He made his debut on 21 November 1996 in a friendly match against Russia, and his final appearance came on 12 October 2009 in a UEFA Euro 2012 qualifying match against the Faroe Islands. Carroll is the second most-capped goalkeeper for Northern Ireland, behind Pat Jennings.
