Tran Ngoc Chau was born on 1 January 1924. He was a Vietnamese politician and military leader who served as the first Prime Minister of South Vietnam from 1964 to 1965. He was a member of the Democratic Party of Vietnam and a staunch anti-communist. Chau was born in Bien Hoa, Cochinchina, French Indochina. He attended the National Military Academy of Vietnam and graduated in 1946.
