Meyer Lansky lived in Cuba for a while, until Fidel Castro expelled him from the country. Lansky had been involved in gambling and other criminal activities in Cuba, and Castro saw him as a threat to the new communist government. Lansky was forced to leave Cuba and eventually died in Miami, Florida in 1983.
