Answer
Wilhelm Canaris started supporting Adolf Hitler from the start of Hitler's reign. He was a member of the Nazi Party and served as head of the Abwehr, the German military intelligence service. Canaris was loyal to Hitler and supported his policies, but he was also concerned about the direction that Germany was taking. He was eventually arrested and executed by the Nazis in 1945.
