Yitzhak Rabin was born on 1 March 1922 in Jerusalem, British Mandate of Palestine. He was a leading figure in the Israeli Labour Party and served as Prime Minister of Israel from 1974 to 1977 and again from 1992 to 1995. Rabin was assassinated by a right-wing Israeli extremist in 1995.
