He is a Colombian-American former professional baseball shortstop who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Florida Marlins, Atlanta Braves, St. Louis Cardinals, Milwaukee Brewers, and New York Mets. He is a two-time World Series champion, winning with the Marlins in 2003 and the Cardinals in 2011.
