Marie-Thérèse’s father-in-law was Charles X, who was the King of France from 1824 to 1830. He was the last Bourbon king of France, and was overthrown during the July Revolution of 1830. Marie-Thérèse was the wife of Louis-Philippe, who became King of the French after Charles X was overthrown.
