Answer
Larkin started the Dublin lock-out in 1913. He led the Irish Transport and General Workers' Union (ITGWU) in a campaign for higher wages and better working conditions for the city's transport workers. The lock-out lasted for six months and resulted in the closure of most of Dublin's factories and businesses. It is estimated that over 100,000 workers were affected by the lock-out.
