Yitzhak Rabin (1922-1995) was the fifth Prime Minister of Israel, from 1974 to 1977 and from 1992 to 1995. He was also a key architect of the Oslo Accords with the Palestinians, which won him the Nobel Peace Prize in 1994. Rabin was assassinated by a right-wing Israeli extremist in 1995.
