Lysimachus was the King of Thrace from 306 BC until his death in 281 BC. He was a general under Alexander the Great, and after Alexander's death, he became one of the Diadochi, or the generals who fought over Alexander's empire. Lysimachus eventually became the ruler of Thrace, and he was a successful ruler who expanded his kingdom and made it one of the most powerful in the region.
